The Courtyard Pavilion has been chosen to sit naturally within the historic setting of Slane Castle.
Its 18-metre-wide structure follows a distinctive 12-sided circular design. Wooden rafters rise towards a central crown, creating height, symmetry and a striking architectural feature above the celebration.
Timber, natural canvas and soft interior finishes give the space warmth and character. The design feels refined without becoming overly formal, allowing each couple to introduce their own personality through flowers, lighting, table settings and decorative details.
Bringing the Castle grounds into your celebration
The Pavilion can be opened to connect with the Castle Courtyard or enclosed using canvas walls and panoramic panels.
Natural materials, botanical details and generous views help the space feel connected to the landscape. Greenery can be woven through the timber beams, while floral installations, trees and statement planting can transform the entrance and interior.
Every design choice can work together to make the Pavilion feel like a considered extension of Slane Castle rather than a separate event space.

One celebration across the Castle and Courtyard
Your guests can arrive through the Great Hall before enjoying drinks in the Castle’s historic reception rooms. Dinner can take place in the Courtyard Pavilion, followed by entertainment and dancing within the Castle.

The Courtyard Pavilion allows Slane Castle to welcome wedding celebrations of more than 200 guests.
The expanded capacity gives couples the freedom to bring larger groups of family and friends together while still enjoying exclusive use and the personal service associated with a Slane Castle wedding.
