This Heritage Week, discover the rich history and remarkable stories behind one of Ireland’s most iconic landmarks with a Historic Castle Tour at Slane Castle.
Nestled in a spectacular setting overlooking the River Boyne, Slane Castle is one of Ireland’s most architecturally significant country houses. Home to the Conyngham family since 1703, the Castle has witnessed over three centuries of Irish history, from aristocratic life and political intrigue to becoming one of the world’s most celebrated concert venues.
Join us from Sunday 16th to Tuesday 18th August for a unique guided tour through the Castle’s historic rooms and grand interiors. Along the way, you’ll uncover fascinating stories of the Conyngham family, explore the Castle’s architectural heritage, and hear behind-the-scenes tales from the legendary rock concerts that have welcomed some of the biggest names in music to Slane.
Tours will take place daily at 9am, 11am, 1pm and 3pm, offering visitors the opportunity to experience the Castle’s rich past and enduring legacy.
