The circus really is coming to town – right here to Slane Castle. It’s going to be absolutely fabulous.

Circus Gerbola, the human circus, is rolling into Slane Castle Estate to put on their brand new show ‘A Celtic Voyage starting on Friday 8th October. For the first time ever, Circus Gerbola combines with the two other Irish circuses, Duffy’s Circus and Fossett’s Circus to present a brand new show ‘A Celtic Voyage’. It’s a unique diverse and entertaining show that combines traditional circus with ultra modern lighting, dancing, and special effectsIt’s going to be a dizzying display of circus performers – high wire trapeze artists, acrobatics, rollerskating, the wheel of death and of course some crazy clowns. Giving it an Irish twist, The Celtic Experience also has Irish Dancing and live traditional music.

Hold onto your seats and get ready to embark on a spectacular journey of entertainment suited for friends and families of all ages. The eye-popping and jaw-dropping stellar line-up features the best performers and artists in the country who will shine a spotlight on traditional circus roots, as well as serving up some modern twists. Are you ready to be entertained?

The fun doesn’t stop at the Big Top.  Our friends from the Vintage Carousel Company will be on-site providing their favourite funfair attractions for all ages to enjoy. And that’s not all! Guests will be able to step back in time by visiting McCarthy’s Circus Bar Travelling Exhibition. This must-see exhibition will dive into the history of the Circus in Ireland. Treat your eyes to an extraordinary archive including four hundred historical posters, over three hundred vintage photographs, along with fascinating circus memorabilia dating back as far as the early 1900s. A truly unique treat not to be missed!

It’s the first time Circus Gerbola have performed since March 2020 so to say the excitement is building would be understating things completely.

Tickets cost from €17.50 and both seats and private seating pods are available.

Thursday/Friday: 4.30pm & 7.30pm
Saturday/Sunday 2pm & 5pm
