We’re celebrating 40 years of rock‘n’roll at Slane Castle this weekend and we want YOU to celebrate with us. Restrictions mean we can’t have a big public event (as we’d love to) but no matter where you are in the country, you can join in through the radio. We’re really excited to announce that Today FM are broadcasting LIVE from Slane Castle on Monday to commemorate the actual anniversary.

Here are a few shows who are celebrating 40 years of Slane Castle concerts in style:

All Weekend

Radio Nova
Popular music station Radio Nova is celebrating 40 years of concerts at Slane Castle over the entire weekend! Tune in to any of their shows to hear music that brings you right back to your favourite concert. Bruce Springsteen? Madonna? The Rolling Stones? U2? They’ll all be there.

Saturday 14th August 1-3pm

Dave Fanning Show (RTE 2FM)
Dave was stage announcer for the first concert at Slane Castle way back in 1981. He is dedicating his show to the 40th anniversary. He’ll be playing music and sharing interviews from all kinds of artists who played at Slane. He’ll also be catching up with Lord Henry, the man who started it all.

Monday 16th August LIVE BROADCAST 2-4pm

Fergal D’Arcy Show (Today FM)
On Monday, which is the anniversary of the very first concert 40 years ago, the Fergal D’Arcy Show is broadcasting LIVE from Slane Castle. Tune in to hear the best of music from Slane Castle concerts, interviews, live music and a fabulous giveaway. You won’t want to miss this one!

Our hashtag is #SlaneRocks – and it really does!
