Browne’s Bar – The Whiskey & Music Room at Slane Castle

Intimate, atmospheric and rich in heritage, Browne’s Bar is available for exclusive private hire and pre-booked whiskey tasting experiences throughout the year.

Seating up to 30 guests, this cosy Irish bar setting is a haven for music and whiskey enthusiasts alike, adorned with rare memorabilia spanning more than four decades of legendary Slane Concerts. It is a space where stories are shared, music is celebrated, and exceptional whiskey is savoured.

The Slane Castle team curate bespoke private dining and party packages, with options to extend your celebration to additional spaces within the Castle, including the elegant Gandon Room, along with on-site accommodation for a seamless and memorable experience.

Browne’s Bar is named after the legendary House-Keeper in the Castle, Mary Browne. Designed in an eclectic fashion and featuring Rock n’Roll memorabilia of the many artists who have performed at the Castle over the years. This cosy space featuring leather and tartan seating, also has an unusual snug capable of seating up to 8-9 people, for a quiet drink. The Gandon Room is open for private events and the afternoon tea experience. Booking required.
