ONLY A FALLING RUBLE WILL END PUTIN’S REIGN

Posted on 5th March 2022

It is just so deeply disturbing turning on the radio in the morning listening to the latest news from the Ukraine, to be followed later in the day with the profoundly shocking images on the various TV channels. Then to have the Russian authorities describing the war as a Special Military Operation, especially the repulsive lizard-like Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. Speaking of appearances, doesn’t Putin look weird. I’m sure he’s on steroids. Wouldn’t it be great if he was suffering from some serious illness and even better if the criminal and mass-murderer died, which would bring an end to this catastrophic war. I’m sure I’m not the only one to fantasize about an assassin’s bullet, or even a poisoning in retribution for the crew he sent to Salisbury to poison the Skripals and in the process endanger the local population. Yes, this is a very evil man, as evil as Adolf Hitler, which brings me directly to the missile strike on the 1,200 foot Kiev TV Tower which involved some collateral damage to the site of the Babyn Yar massacre, one of the worst atrocities of the 2nd World War. 34,000 Jews were shot here in 1941. The park was designed to serve as a reminder to visitors about the horrors of violent tyranny.

They need look no further than Moscow to see a man as reprehensible as the Fuhrer. Volodymyr Zelenskyy President of the Ukraine is Jewish. He said “ I appeal now to all the Jews of the world, don’t you see what is happening, therefore it is very important that millions of Jews around the world do not remain silent”. I am sure they will not. All of this and so much more make Putin’s argument that he is seeking the denazification of the Ukraine utterly absurd and obscene. This is his war and he is inflicting it on innocent people. There are now areas in Ukraine without water and electricity and people are running out of food. On Thursday President Macron of France had a 90 minute telephone call with Putin and ominously after the call a French official said Macron was convinced “ the worst is yet to come” and that Putin intends to take control of all Ukraine. In the light of the extraordinary resilience of the Ukrainian people it leads one to the conclusion that it will lead to a blood-bath. Under the circumstances, one can understand the calls by Ukraine for NATO to intervene and introduce a no-fly zone, a counter argument being that this could lead to the possibility of NATO aircraft shooting down Russian planes. Call the lunatic’s bluff, well that I’m afraid is the point. He might well press the nuclear button and cause World War3 and the end of civilisation as we know it. So with the Ukrainian Parliament meeting in Kiev on Thursday and President Zelenskyy displaying Churchillian qualities, what can we do. Sanctions are really starting to bite and putting the squeeze on the Oligarchs might make them conclude that they would be better rid of Putin. One can only hope that a sufficient number of people question why the ruble has plummeted and why they are finding it difficult to get cash. Then they see behind the curtain of lies and that Putin is also destroying Russia. In the meantime, how many Ukrainians have to die.
